60 DAYS UNTIL DEL SOL!
Christmas is over! Let’s get back to the daily schedule and goals!
Since mid November, my schedule, goals, fitness, dance practice, etc. have all been shit!
A death in the family last month and the holiday season really threw a monkey wrench in daily stuff, but I also let my routine go when I should have gotten back on the horse and made things work. Excuses, excuses, excuses… I weighed myself today and looked at my shirtless self in the mirror and I’m definitely not happy. I know that the numbers on the scale are just numbers that will go up and down but it is ridiculous. I keep telling myself that certain goals are unattainable or to give myself a break and partially, that is correct. I am not perfect nor do I expect perfection, but I do need to set some goals for myself. Even if they are slightly unattainable, I’m at least going to try…
Without planning it, I checked when my next dance competition is and it is in 60 days from today at a local competition called Desert Sol. I guess this is my higher power telling me to start all of this today instead of tomorrow. (I always look for an excuse to procrastinate. LOL)
I re-evaluated/adjusted my daily schedule and am changing up my posts on here to a slightly different format. Just to hold myself accountable, I’m putting out there what my new routine is going to be for the next 60 days…
I will be taking Sunday and Monday off for fitness as Sundays are my “take a freaking day off!” day and Mondays are always a busy work day that I’m sitting at my computer. Otherwise, Tuesday through Saturday mornings are for non-fitness/non-dance stuff until noon. My afternoons are set aside for yoga, the gym, dance practice and lessons. NO EXCUSES! NO EXCEPTIONS! I better be on my death bed or an emergency comes up for me to not do these 3 things. I am also taking an hour a day to read and finish my damn yoga certification that I always have a reason not to do each day.
I already have a format/table ready for my daily posts with the info that my fancy scale gives me. Granted, I really don’t know how accurate all of it is because the scale is not medical grade, but at least I’ll be able to track the info if it is consistently off. I will continue to do the shirtless pictures because that is the best way for me to gauge if I am reaching my goals. Once I weigh in tomorrow morning, I will input that in my calorie counter app for my daily intake limit and I’m aiming for a 20-25% average on a calorie deficit on my work out days and breaking even on Sundays and Mondays.
Here goes nothing and wish me luck!!!
